Obviously, a new price range is on the verge of being created: the $60 -$65 per barrel price bracket. There is an incremental trend being deliberately set by the oil companies and the power brokers; we do not need flip-flop technical analysts to tell us that there is only one way the price of oil can go, which is up.

I was excited to see the contributions made by the users of this site regarding the power outages they experienced in their local communities and relaying that information to the rest of us. In my opinion, it would be a good idea to open a "global intelligence forum" on oilcast, where users would be able to share similar information with each other, but in a more organized format. A list of countries can be created, where users from a particular country will be able to offer 'reliable' information about the state of local energy supplies and other valuable data, such as its impact on the economy, and on society (riots, crime rate, etc.). This sort of information would facilitate a better understading of the effects peak oil is having-in its initial stages-around the globe.
We cannot rely solely on the convential media to serve such information on a platter, as news is always censored to paint a rosy picture of the current state of affairs.

P.S. Free forum software is available on the net http://www.phpbb.com/, or there are sites that provide the service free of charge, http://www.cjb.net/.
